Oh the Suds...| Goodbye Shampoo!
Updated: Jul 16, 2019
I quit using shampoo and conditioner....
Why? Well I’m glad you asked. It’s simple really. Shampoo has detergents (aka the bubbles) that strips the hair of everything that makes it great, such as the natural oils that make it feel soft and look shiney. Conditioner, full of relaxing agents and synthetic oils, makes a desperate attempt to replace what the shampoo destroyed. Big companies make a lot of money by destroying my clients hair (and my work) Make a problem and sell the solution is the way they do business. That’s not what I stand for. I’m only one but I say NO! If you’re with me and I know many of you are then join me in the hair revolution!
Let me show you how to fix the damage!
CLARIFY AND RESTORE
First things first! We need to get rid of all the build-up and let your hair breath! Clarifying your hair is a great way to hit the reset button on your hair. I know I just said I quit all of this but think of this as an exception. We will use this to start the process of reviving your dull locks and then you can put it in the far back spot in your bathroom cabinet. This shampoo will remove the years of build up from using the wrong conditioners and styling products. Afterwards follow with conditioner, which is more like a serum really.
Now that your hair is a clean and hollow vessel, lets rejuvenate! Palm Springs is packed full of nutrients and moisture. Did I mention all of this is VEGAN! Let this sit for 20 mins and rinse. Moving on!
Wash and Scrub
Here’s one of your new “shampoos”! Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) that doesn’t smell as strong the pure stuff. This is great to use in place of your old shampoo. If you color your hair this is even better than color safe shampoo. The reason this is what I suggest is it doesn’t strip your natural oils or make color fade. It also balance the pH of your hair, which is important for keeping your hair soft or color vibrant, and it’s also great for the scalp. Healthy hair starts at the source of where it grows. This will leave your hair feeling squeaky clean so I suggest adding moisture back to the hair using R+Co Waterfall or High Dive leave-in afterwards. I’ll explain more after the next product.
Analog Cleansing Foam Conditioner (aka my favorite hair cleanser)
If you made it this far, congrats! Your hair has finally been reset! You've clarified and restored with Oblivion, moisturized with Palm Springs, washed that out with ACV and moisturized with your leave-in. Talk about the longest shower ever! 3-5 days later it’s time to wash again. Here is where Analog becomes the star! The only thing in your hair is moisture that you put in plus the natural oils that have came back. After you wet your hair, massage and comb a dollop of this cleansing foam through your hair and let it sit while you wash the rest of your body. Using ”Oil-attracts-Oil” technology this foam cleansing conditioner will not only clean your hair but will also condition it too! Think of this as your new daily driver. Anytime you want your hair clean use this. After 3-5 washes use ACV for deeper cleaning.
Get out of the shower! You’re taking too long!
"Imagine a future when you can wash, condition, detangle and repair your hair using only one product. Your shower would be so much tidier, and your regimen so much simpler!
Well, the future has arrived, so go ahead and toss all those bottles gathering dust in your bathroom because New Wash cleans hair with a proprietary blend of essential oils and naturally derived saturated cleansers – and no detergents or synthetic compounds. It conditions hair at the same time, and leaves it tangle-free. Over time, it revives hair abused by detergent, damaged by bleach, and fried by heat styling. If that wasn’t enough, color lasts far longer, and troubled scalps become so much happier.
Rediscover the true nature of your hair (most of us have no idea how amazing it can be). We understand if you're skeptical, but our customers are happy – very happy – search their reviews to find people like you. So take the plunge and meet your hair's new best friend, and to be sure the relationship lasts, start off with a New Wash"
Okay! So now you’re ready for shorter showers and ”do-nothing” good hair.
After rinsing out either the New Wash, ACV or, Analog it’s time to get out of the shower and set your hair up for either the perfect air dried style or ,get it ready to turn heads.
PREP & STYLE
First thing you will want in your hair is One. Purely vitamins and nutrients for the hair. Spray evenly from roots to ends. This foundation product is great for evening out the porosity of your hair, keeping other products from being over absorbed as you apply. You know how it can look greasy! We don’t want that.
We all need moisture in our hair. Some more than others. Replace your conditioner with one of these leave-ins. After applying the One prep spray add a nickel size amount of this moisturizer to the ends of your hair and comb through for even distribution. If your hair is extra dry or curly use High Dive and everyone else use Waterfall. That’s it! You’re all done. Let it air-dry or blow it out. Don’t worry about heat because these guys are heat protectors too!
Hope you enjoy the new you! Make sure you understand the new regimen before you get started. Below I will put all the steps in numerical order so if you didn’t read any of this you can just buy everything I just mentioned and get started.
